Painting what I know and love, wildlife and nature. Although I paint in a realistic style, I don’t consider myself a “ultra detailed” painter. I actually paint very loosely for most of the painting, tightening up and adding detail as the painting progresses. Although I do paint detail, it’s much more about capturing the feel of a time and place. I don’t paint using a lot of color. I typically like my work to have a subdued look and feel. I use mostly earthy colors and tones.
